Internet Initiates Transition Into IPv6

With the growing amount of internet users and devices, the internet was running out of IP addresses. IPv4 could handle 4.3 billion (4,300,000,000) unique IP addresses, a relatively small number compared to the 340,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000  maximum unique IP addresses of the IPv6 internet pipe lining. The transition from IPv4 to IPv6 has begun today, but will take some time to conclude. This change will not necessarily mean any extra work for the average web user, but will allow the internet virtually infinite room to expand in the near future (50 years).
